From Salvaged Planks to Luxury Flooring - All Antique French Oak Now FSC Certified

Exquisite Surfaces has taken reclaimed wood to a new level by solely using antique French oak flooring certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) as 100% recycled wood.  Exquisite Surface’s antique French oak product line has become a favorite of architects and designers seeking truly original floors that are both beautiful and environmentally sound.
“In many cases, suppliers offer salvaged wood which turns out to be planks cut from old beams -- but our reclaimed French oak is pulled from real French homes and farmhouses. There are numerous benefits to using actual reclaimed flooring instead of construction wood to create these stunning antique wood floors,” says Franck Nataf, one of the owners of Exquisite Surfaces. “Not only does our antique French oak offer more character, richness and beauty -- it is also more durable and customizable than other types of salvaged wood.”
Sourced from throughout the cities and countryside of France, once shipped to the United States the antique French oak is subjected to a rigorous restoration process by the expert craftsmen at Exquisite Surfaces' atelier.  Finishing options and patterns are customized to meet the needs of clients. To maintain the sustainability of the flooring, Exquisite Surfaces offers an entire line of natural oils, finishes and waxes that emit low or no (zero) VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
